Teamsters at UPS and Transervice in Salina

Hold Contest to Provide for Salina Families

Coordinator Susan Hughes from Transervice says, "Just a short note to reiterate how wonderful it was towatch Brown & Blue work side by side Saturday.  Everyone came with smiles on their faces and positive attitudes.  Groceries were "picked" for 6 local charites and 6 trailers were pre-loaded for delivery to The Salina Food Bank and The Salina Salvation Army in record time.  Normally this takes most of 3 days to accomplish and this year it was completed in less than 5 hours.  On the fundraising side of the competition, Susan continues, "The last dollar has been counted and I am sad to say that that Blue has officially lost to Brown.  The final results are as follows:

UPS         $1,400.00

TRANSERVICE  $1,389.00

Total funds raised  $2,789.00

As always, the Battle of BLUE vs BROWN has been a lot of fun for all however, the real winners are the charities that benefit from Project Salina.
